What is Misfit Preachers about?
It is about giving the hopeless, hope. The three of us have all been where so many others are at this moment. Broken. Busted. Our core intent is to step toward people who others have stepped away from. We believe that is what Jesus did and our goal is to plagiarize him. We love you. There is a way forward.
Why another podcast?
Great question. What the three of us have in common is what sets us apart as podcasters. Each of us has blown it in extraordinary ways. AND… each one of us has been made whole by grace. We believe in speaking candidly about the realities inside the hearts of every human being. Having come back from the brink … we have things to say you need to hear.
Why should we listen to Misfit Preachers?
Because we will not bullshit you. When you have lost everything you have nothing to lose. We are not afraid to tell it like it is. Candid. Raw. We are the conversation you’ve wanted to have, but did not know who to have it with.
Did you have to say “what in the Hell” and “bullshit” that doesn’t seem very appropriate for preachers?
First, you are hanging out with the wrong preachers. Second, you’re right, we didn’t ‘have to say that’ but that is how we talk. That is how people talk. The reason your neighbor keeps ignoring your comments about church is that you say, “H-E-Double Hockey Sticks…” We love you AND that is so weird. Jesus wants us to stop being weird. We will speak plainly, like people, not like churchy
Isn’t this supposed to be a religious podcast?
Sorry, no, this is not a religious podcast. We aren’t religious. We’re not pretending to be. The world did not need another religious podcast. It needed three misfits preachers to talk about grace like rebels sending out short-wave radio messages to the resistance during WWII— Come home. STOP. We’re throwing a party. STOP. Guest of honor is you. STOP. Bring your friends. STOP. Grace is actually amazing. STOP
